I think we should build a highly selective non-profit university where the costs are transparent. It could become the world's greatest university with a real campus, real interaction, for the best academics. What we need now:
Donors and helpers who can provide:
Campus land, classrooms, computing, and other tangible resources students should get access to
Books and other stationary
Management interested in running the OpenUniversity initiative
Admissions staff who will read the essays, transcripts etc.
Marketing staff to get people to know and learn about the OpenUniversity initiative
Internet developers who want to help create the online version
People who want to simply donate money to the cause
Anything else you feel you can provide to enhance the learning experience of the global community!
