Welcome to Whackpedia.com
Whackpedia is for an open World Wide Discussion of topics. Unlike Wikipedia we are not an encyclopedia or a fact book, although you are welcome to add encyclopedic facts here too. In order to make this kind of open discussion feasible, however, there are a few simple and necessary rules:
- Offensive language is not acceptable in any form. If your discussion offends anyone, it will be deleted. No questions asked.
- A violation of the government rules and laws will not be tolerated, for example, copyright issues. Copyrighted material without permission for public distribution are not subjects for Whackpedia.
- Respect is a necessary criteria for any decent discussion on any topic. If you don't agree on a topic, argue about it, but respectfully. We are simply not interested in having pissed off people around.
- Scientists, mathematicians, and philosophers are strongly encouraged to present arguments, opinions, and thoughts on subject. Please do not delete what other people wrote, just go ahead and write what you feel is necessary.
- If you want to make a page about yourself and sing about your accomplishments thats fine too but no derogatory comments about other people please. We believe everyone has a right to recognition for their work, not just a few people.
- People are encouraged to share opinions, generate thought and creativity. People are encouraged to build a more loving world. People are encouraged to improve peace and humanity. People are encouraged to improve the sciences and technology. People are encouraged to share novel and original research, arguments, poems, quotes, literature they create etc. (No plagiarism.)
- Proper organization of the topics and discussions is encouraged.
- Linking is encouraged but only to relevant topics, do not link an advertisement to all the other topics. You want to make a page advertising something it's fine, but say something useful about what you are advertising and link only to extremely relevant material. Spamming topics is not acceptable because it is considered disrespectful. Advertising in general is discouraged.
- All entries must be in proper English. Entries in other languages are currently not acceptable. Try to make your entry as grammatically correct as possible, including capitalization and spelling. Correct, blatant grammatical problems in other posts, if necessary.
- And lastly, but very importantly, voice one opinion once, not ten times over because that's not an argument or a discussion, that's simply showing disrespect.
