FAQ

What's that logo? That logo is a representation of thoughts of different colors and sizes mingling with each other.

Who is the audience? Everyone is the audience, anyone who wants to tell the world about themselves or a new product, anyone who wants to discuss the news, world issues, or science and technology issues, anyone who wants to write a poem or a story, basically anyone who wants to talk about anything with a little bit of decency and respect.

Why would any good researcher put all their work here? What about them getting paid for it? Most researchers don't always make money from the actual work that they've done. However, if you think you can get paid for your work then go ahead and don't put it here and get paid for it, where you can. But if you want to not get paid, but allow people to use and build upon your work, you are welcome to add it here.

What about getting credit for my work? Well, if your work is worthy feel free to put it where you think it will get the most credit. You can on Whackpedia also create an account and make sure that you are credited for the work you do. In the long run, you can build up a reputation of your own on Whackpedia itself as well, and require people who use your work elsewhere to cite it. We are currently working on allowing people some personal space of their own as well. Until then you can create a page for yourself. Just like you would like credit for your work, you should also always try to credit the work of other people when borrowing from them even if just by username or IP address.

How to use the discussion pages Just click on any page you want to add to and click the 'edit' button and go ahead and add your stuff. If you want to make a line across the page use four dashes ---- to separate your comments from other people. If you want to make a numbered list simply use the # sign. For other formatting use the given buttons.

How to create my user profile and wiki page? To create your user profile, first register, and then click on 'User Profiles' in the side bar to reach your user profile and edit it. From there you can also directly access and edit your wiki page.
